Walker Family
South African Ministry
The Walker's are ministering in South Africa with an emphasis on
discipleship training.
The object of our ministry is the
Lord. To love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength is our desire.
The expression of our love for Him toward others is the fulfillment of His call
on our lives.
Our ministry to South Africa began in 1990 as church planters. We worked in
cooperation with indigenous pastors through evangelism, discipleship training
and ongoing mentoring of potential church leaders. God gave us a specific burden
for the eastern Indian people of South Africa. Jesus Christ and His Body – the
Church – are the focal point of our ministry.

Our Family:
We met and were married in Ohio in 1976. In the same year, we moved to Sarasota,
Florida, to make our home. It was there that we gave our hearts to the Lord and
were called to serve Him in ministry to the people of South Africa.
After 15 years of marriage, God blessed us with our first born, a son. Joseph was born to us in Westville, South Africa during our first term. Our daughter, Lauren, was born to us in Sarasota during our first furlough.
Please pray with us in the
following areas:
Pray that the hearts of the people would be fertile soil for the planting of
God’s Word.
Pray against all hindrances to what God is calling us to do.
Pray for our family.
Financial Statement:
All contributions to Hand to the Plow Ministries are tax-deductible. Please
earmark your contributions for the Walkers.
