As you can
see below Hand to the Plow Ministries
is just a group of
believers, who are seeking to love the Lord and each
other. We share a common vision and purpose and that vision
is Christ and our purpose is to see His heart satisfied.

Connecting the Dots
We
have a phrase around here that helps us in “seeing” what
direction God would have us pursue, we call it “connecting
the dots.” You may remember as a child using the
connect-the-dots coloring book. After connecting the dots in
the “right” order, an image would emerge and you could
finish coloring in the picture. Through the years the Lord
has been faithful to connect some dots for us spiritually
and in this way we see an image of His purpose and will
emerge.
God’s Image Emerging and Enlarging
The great adventure is that the image of God’s will is ever
unfolding and growing all the time. This is how Hand to the
Plow has tried to proceed for over 21 years now, we simply
try to connect God’s dots and watch the picture emerge.
While we began with a very specific call to pray for Haiti
(and we still embrace that calling), other dots have emerged
and the image of His will for us is ever growing.
It
is our desire that this website will give you a picture of
how the dots are connecting and the image enlarging. You
will see that the ministry in Haiti has grown from work
camps to include clean water projects, Christmas for Haiti,
and now, the building of the new Mission House for Phyllis
Newby.
Beyond Haiti, the Ezekiel Stick ministry is literally
touching the world with a simple walking stick and a
powerful message of God’s faithfulness in the midst of
suffering. Also, Joshua Expeditions (read more) take us all
over the world “on assignment” for the purposes of seeing
God’s territory taken back.
Lastly, let me
say that we at Hand to the Plow are committed to seeing the
body of Christ healthy and strong. We believe that it is
“now through the church” that Christ is changing the world.
We embrace the whole body of Christ and have had the
incredible privilege of seeing our vision of Christ enlarge
in the process. We do not see ourselves as a ministry
independent of the church, rather just a part of His body,
joining with other parts of His body, under the headship of
Christ.
